Why Run Gala?

Networking goes far beyond exchanging contacts and is more to do with building relationships. As an organisation, we have benefitted immensely from our strong relationships within our community and allies nationwide. My Runway Group is passing on that privilege to black business founders in a bid to collectively shape the future of the British economic landscape. RUN Gala attracted over 500 black businesses and founders and we were greeted with a note from Sadiq Khan – Mayor of London. Our keynote speaker Dawn Butler – MP for Brent- inspired and empowered the audience. The night was a pure celebration of black excellence, entertainment and commerce which was supported by Shopify, MAC Cosmetics and the London Chamber of Commerce. London’s favourite artists Yinka Ilori was awarded Man of The Year and Kike Oniwinde of BYP Network won woman of the year.

This years RUN Gala will be extra special, celebrating the launch of RUN 100 – our annual online and print magazine highlighting 100 black business owners we believe you should know about.
