Key accountabilities of the role include:
- Work closely with the Creative Content and Design lead to ensure that we capture and promote the work of Ministers and the government more widely through visual means.
- Take the lead on capturing imagery during visits and ensure the imagery is of a high quality.
- Work closely with the visits team to ensure a lead image is planned ahead of time.
- Develop and manage relationships with press officers, special advisers, private offices and visits team to ensure that imagery and digital content is an integral part of all media planning.
- Develop relationships with picture desks at media outlets
- Play a lead role in populating the department’s image library
- Provide photography support internally to support key moments
