KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, write and publish news (including video and imagery) content across Arsenal.com and the app in close liaison with the programme and social media team
  • Collaborate with our Digital Experience team to offer fans a seamless experience on our sites and something only Arsenal can deliver editorially on Arsenal.com and the app
  • Work closely with communications and content (video production and programme) colleagues to create editorial plans for .com and the app which are amplified on social media channels and drive traffic to our owned and operated channels appropriately
  • Ensure website pages are up to date (including fixtures, stats, player profiles) and the wider club information and stories are best in class and reflect the values of the club
  • Sub-edit reporters’ work and approve scripts and transcriptions for video content
  • Take management responsibility for the junior reporter and manage the rota and time of social media producers who create stories and reports alongside their social media publishing duties
  • Find the right mix of freelance support to ensure we are sufficiently resourced, there is a healthy work/life balance and best in class expertise on our channels
  • Manage coverage of Men’s, Women’s and Academy teams to ensure fans can access best in class, up to the minute coverage
  • Write news stories, match reports and features quickly and accurately
  • Manage usage of stats, graphics and infographics across digital platforms to offer fans the very best
  • Match/Event responsibilities and organisation
  • Will need to work matchdays regularly and cover events e.g. press conferences
